Restoration of the West Pond at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge

We urge you to sign this petition, sponsored by the Birders Coalition for Gateway, calling for restoration of the West Pond at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. The pond, breached during Hurricane Sandy, is now a saltwater lagoon now rather than the freshwater sanctuary it was before. This critical habitat in an urban environment needs to be restored both for the migrating birds who use it annually and the viewing public.

PETITION TO RESTORE THE WEST POND
